Questions about the product or the purchase?

Then you’ve come to the right place. Answers to the most common questions about Gipfelsockerl have been compiled here for you. Please also note the instructions on payment, revocation and shipping at the end of the page.

Around the purchase

Behind Gipfelsockerl is a small team with passion and lean structures. Therefore, the Sockerl with our logo is currently available exclusively directly via our own online shop.

Unfortunately, no. Please understand that a personal pick-up of the Sockerl is not possible, as we do not want to interfere in the daily social work of our shipper.

You can currently choose from prepayment or PayPal. Here you will find all detailed information about payment.

Please send us an e-mail (including photos on which the damage is clearly visible) to retouren(at)gipfelsockerl.de. If it is a material or production defect, we will transfer the purchase price back to you or send you new Sockerl. In individual cases, we ask for the defective Sockerl to be sent. If the defect is due to improper use or external influence, there will understandably be no replacement or remittance.
More about this also in our Terms and Conditions.

Sometimes even a little help can cause the application to work without problems. Therefore please write to us and let us know where the Sockerl pinches. More on this topic also in our General Terms and Conditions.

What is so special about the fabric?

Yes, washing at 30 degrees is possible. It is best to use a fine detergent as for other sport textiles.
Ironing is also possible – please only with one point, otherwise the Sockerl will get too hot. You should avoid the dryer, as this is not particularly good for the fabric.

Because there are different strong fur adhesives and their features change with the outside temperature and age of the skins, we recommend that you glue the skins back to the foils supplied by the manufacturer after the tour. This is of course the case for the summer break, during which you store skins. If you leave the skins in the Sockerl between tours in winter, please keep them in a cool and dry room. Under no circumstances should the skins be dried in the Sockerl on a heater or in warm, damp rooms.

The fur adhesives have different quality and intensity, which change with temperature, but also with age. Even with proper use, it can happen that fur glue residues stick to the Sockerl. If this has happened and washing does not help, we recommend a treatment like with chewing gum: 12 hours left in the freezer, then remove the residue with your fingers – wash again. Commercially available special cleaners for adhesives can also help.

Yes. All Gipfelsockerl are 70 centimetres long. This is deliberately chosen so that everything from fur for short ladies’ skis to fur for the longest freeride skis can be stored universally.
If your coat is less than 140 centimetres long, you only need to fold once – i.e. the inside of the Sockerl and only glue one outside. For skins above 140, the second outer side of the Sockerl is also used.

Yes, the Sockerl are 19 centimetres wide and fit for all commercially available skins for skis and splitboards.
